A product dedicated to skin dryness and loss of volume. Acetyl hexapeptide-37 improves skin moisture via an enhanced aquaporin 3 (AQP3) expression. This membrane protein is involved in water transport through the different tissue layers, an increased concentration of the proteins improves the water flux from the basal layer of the epidermis to the stratum corneum. Evidence for the efficacy of this selective pore forming protein has already been provided by various in vivo studies. Acetyl hexapeptide-37 can improve skin hydration by 131%.
It is combined with hyaluronic acid, sodium lactate and lactic acid for their water binding properties. Lactic acid is also promoting the skin renewal to reduce the trans-epidermic water loss.
